Muddy’s is a fun, safe splash playground located on the Cairns Esplanade. With plenty of shade, picnic tables and BBQs around, Muddy’s offer the perfect spot for families to enjoy the outdoors year round for FREE! Well maintained and modern, Muddy’s also offers segregated play areas for smaller tots as well as play equipment guaranteed to entertain the older kids.
Some of Muddy’s features include numerous water spout that shoot water out of the ground or from the side, a flying fox, climbing ropes, sound chimes, slides, playhouses, see-saws, puzzle games, a storytelling area, slides, hamster wheel, rope swing and the giant mudskipper play area, that kids just love to climb on.
Located approximately 1km from the Cairns Lagoon, Muddy’s is a great free activity for when the holiday expenses start to add up.

What better way to cool off during the hot summer months than a dip in the freshwater (and croc free!) creeks of Tropical North Queensland. Just a short 40 minute drive south of Cairns you’ll find an abundance of pristine water holes and falls including Josephine falls and Babinda Boulders. If you prefer to stay local, why not check out Stoney Creek, Crystal Cascades and The Rocks, all of which are conveniently located in the Cairns suburb of Redlynch.
